Addendum
The business is located on land that is owned by a local farmer. There is no land included in the sale. I purchase the wood from an arborist who brings his cut wood to this lot in 16 foot lengths. I purchase this wood from the arborist for 20$ per cord. I charge 120-125$ per cord delivered. I also keep all my equipment there annually. I have 2 large dump trailers, one with a grapple arm. I also get some contracts from smaller arborists to pick up the trees that they have cut in and around Montreal. I charge $250/per load. I have two Ford F350 trucks, one with a box for smaller deliveries (1-3 cords), and the other is a 10 cylinder to tow the large trailer around. It is a physical job and that is why I am selling. The annual costs are $2000 for insurance on the trucks and around $900 for gas for the equipment. When I have larger orders, I have a helper @ $20/hr. The first year I booked $38,000 in sales and last year it was close to $20,000. There is a dedicated phone number for the firewood business and an Excel spreadsheet with all the names, numbers, addresses and size of orders for 270 clients who have all ordered from me before.
